Obituary for Jeremiah Joseph Segrue
Tuesday, January 3rd, 2023 at the age of 89. Predeceased by his parents, Dennis V. and Agnes Ryan Segrue; wife, Shirley and many siblings. Survived by his children, Dennis (Meg), Jeremiah (Jeanne) and Joan (Michael) Nichols; grandchildren, Rachel, Joseph (Carolyn), Timmy (Jillian), Denny (Alexa), Nicholas, Timmy, Jeremiah and Katherine; great-grandchildren, Macie, Henry, Claira, Ryan and Nolan; several nieces and nephews.
Jeremiah was born in the Tipperary Hill area of Syracuse, NY. He was a graduate of LeMoyne College (1959), a veteran of the US Army and a 28 year employee of Kodak. Jeremiah was a devout Catholic, avid golfer and Syracuse sports fan who was very proud of his Irish heritage. Mostly he was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Friends are welcome Tuesday, January 10th from 4-7pm at the Profetta Funeral Chapel, 1650 Empire Blvd. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, January 11th, 11:30am at St. Joseph's Church. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph's Church's stained glass window fund.
