Obituary for Joanne M. Taylor

Joanne Pagano Taylor passed away on Saturday March 12th, 2022 at the age of 77. Beloved Mom, Grandma, Cousin, and friend to so many. She was predeceased by her wonderful parents Joe and Sue Pagano, loving grandparents, and many beloved aunts and uncles from the Pagano and Scardino families, along with her in-laws Alex and El Dora Taylor.

She is survived by her 3 sons and daughters-in laws: Andrew and Julie, Brian and Christina, Steven and Audrey; her cherished grandchildren Matthew, Meghan, Samuel, Ethan, and Gemma. She also leaves her cousins all of whom were her “favorite”, Taylor family members out West, and many many cherished friends. She had a wonderful support team through her illness.

Joanne graduated from East High School (class of 1962) and SUNY at Alfred. She retired in 2011 from LCP/Thompson Reuters after 31 years of a wonderful work experience.
She loved planning reunions/luncheons (family, high school, Alfred’s ABX Sorority, and Retiree), was a proud and active member of The Italian Women’s Civic Club, and loved the fun of being in a Bunco group. Other interests included shopping, eating out with friends, trips to the casino, cleaning and organizing, but not cooking! Her greatest love, however, centered on her family of which she was very proud.

Joanne was a cancer patient at Wilmont Cancer Institute since 2019. The family wants to acknowledge her oncologist Dr. Chunkit Fung MD, and his PA Sue Sargent, along with the wonderful staff at Wilmont for all the care, support, and kindness shown their mom.

Family and friends will gather for a Funeral Mass scheduled for Friday, March 18th at 10:00a at St. Rita’s Catholic Church, 1008 Maple Drive in Webster, NY 14580. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if you so wish, donations in her name can be sent to the Coldwater House for Women and Children, 240 Coldwater Road, Rochester, NY 14624, or a charity of your choosing.
Grieve not…nor speak of me with tears…but laugh and talk of me as though I were beside you. I loved you so. Twas heaven here with you.
