Obituary for Joseph M. Pintavalle

Webster: Thursday, July 7th, 2022 at the age of 77. Predeceased by his parents, Salvatore and Rose Pintavalle. Survived by his wife Kathleen of 14 years; children, Joseph Jr. Pintavalle, Amy (Scott) Wentz, Todd (Erica) Farmen, Jeffrey (Summer) Farmen, Daniel (Joli) Farmen and Jonathan (Julie) Farmen; 14 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Tina Panza and Rose (Rich) Stenizo; several nieces and nephews.

Joe was a man of many talents. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA, graduated from South Catholic H.S. (class of 1963) He then attended Community College at Pittsburgh Beauty Academy to become a barber. He was social chairman for Alpha Sigma Chi and the boys basketball team. He belonged to South Hills Lyons Club of Pittsburgh for many years. In the 90's he was elected commissioner of Baldwin Township in Pittsburgh. He belonged to Italian Heritage Society of Pittsburgh along with his parents, Rose, Salvatore and his sisters, Rose Ann and Tina. Joe also volunteered through Transfiguration Church at #39 school with their school program where he helped kindergarten children with reading flash cards and daily tasks. He loved the kids. He loved all kinds of music and loved to sing. In earlier days, on our trips to Pittsburgh, we sang the whole way there.

Family and friends are welcome Monday, July 18th from 9:30-10:30am at St. Rita's Church in Webster where a Memorial Mass for Joe will be held at 10:30am. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
