Obituary for Maria Collins
Webster: On August 30th, 2022, Maria Collins, born October 1st, 1932 was called home to heaven by natural causes. She was surrounded by the never ending love and presence of her only daughter, Katherine Sherry.
Maria had a love for life and her family. Her smile made all who were blessed to have met her feel welcomed. She enjoyed traveling and every genre of music, she loved to sing along as the music played. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her daughter whom she referred to as her “little girl” and her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her greatest treasure. She made the world a little brighter with her kindness and laughter and will be terribly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Maria is survived by her daughter Katherine (Ron), her grandchildren George Cameron III (wife Sue), Roderick Cameron (wife Bonnie) and Rio Sherry. Her great-grandchildren (who affectionately called her Ganny) Jacob, Joshua, Casey, Sydney, Emily and Nicholas.
Maria is predeceased by her loving husband Warren (affectionately known to his grandchildren as Gramps), her sister and her mother.
Friends are welcome Friday, September 2nd from 8:45am - 10am at the Profetta Funeral Chapel 1650 Empire Blvd. Maria's Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30am at St. Rita's Church. Interment Webster Rural Cemetery.
