She graduated from Our Lady of Mercy High School in the class of 1950. She was a master gardener, known for her meticulous gardens and plantings, and was deeply knowledgeable on horticulture and all topics related to nature. She was particularly at peace at their family cabin in Honeoye that her father Harold White, master carpenter, built.
