Obituary for Natalie Termito (Nania)

Irondequoit: Passed away Friday, December 4, 2020. She was born on February 15, 1921 in Messina, Italy and immigrated to the US at a young age.

Natalie was educated in the Rochester, NY public schools and moved to Irondequoit in the early 1960’s along with her parents and brother Carmelo. Upon graduation from high school, she found work at the Eastman Kodak Co. where she stayed on for many years eventually working her way up to a personal secretary at the Elmgrove plant. Natalie was a devout Catholic and active in her church. She was a very caring and giving person and felt strongly about helping others particularly those less fortunate than herself. She was very generous to a number of charitable causes throughout her life.

Family was at the forefront of Natalie’s life. She took great care and attention of everyone in her extended family and acted as caregiver to both her parents and her brother Carmelo throughout his long illness.

Predeceased in death by her husband and love of her life, Severrio “Sam” Termito; her beloved parents, Domenick and Antoinette Nania; sister, Mary Nania; brothers, Carmelo Nania and Joseph (Jane) Nania.

Natalie is survived by her devoted brother, John (Vicky) Nania; and her adoring nieces & nephews: Donald (Sharon) Nania, Annette (Ray) Bunker, John Nania, Mark (Joanne) Nania, David Nania, Raymond (Gwen) Nania, Mary (Don) Schoch. She also leaves behind eleven loving great nieces and nephews: Jessica, Jeffrey, Michael, Stephanie, Gage, Michelle, Joseph, Ryan, Anthony, Diana and Quinn. She was a bright light in all our lives and will be greatly missed.

Natalie enjoyed baking and she made the holidays a special event with her delicious baked goods especially her cookies and pies. She loved to travel with Italy being one of her favorite destinations. We will miss her kindness and quick wit all of which she maintained throughout her life.

The family would like to thank St. John’s Home for their compassionate care of Natalie during the last few months of her life.
