Obituary for Nickilina A. "Niky" Marino

Suddenly at the age of 52. Predeceased by her mother, Esilda in 2013 and by her husband Mike in 2012. She is survived by her father, Alfonso; sisters, MaryAnna Mile, Josephine (John) Giarrizzo-Hoyle, Maria Gabriella Gress, twin sister Esilda Giarrizzo; niece, Loni Mile; nephews, Elton (Ashley) Mile, John and Joseph Giarrizzohoyle, Christopher and Alphonse Gress; great nephews, David Fiscale and Tadin Mile, and her fur baby, Jeep II.

Nickilina, one of five sisters, grew up in a traditional Italian American family. She will always be remembered as a loving sister, daughter and widow. She loved God, had a beautiful sense of humor, appreciated the simple joys of life, sisterhood and the hominess of family. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her twin sister Esilda and mothering her fur baby, Jeep II. She was an excellent cook who prepared authentic Italian cuisine that she learned from her mother. She enjoyed eating healthily, being physically fit, being a business owner, competing in ballroom dancing competitions, solving crossword puzzles and word searches and watching mysteries with her sister Esilda. She was always willing to help out with the house and care for her elderly father.
We will always remember her quiet, gentle spirit, her cautious way with words, her beautiful smile, having her mother’s laugh and all the nicknames she gave us. Most importantly Niky will be remembered as a gentle spirit with a kind heart who attempted to mend bridges and bring peace.

A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held privately for family.
