Teresa A. Quealy of Irondequoit passed away quietly on January 27, 2021 at the age of 88. Teresa is predeceased by her husband, John V. Quealy. Teresa has five daughters: Patricia (George) Voelkl, Karen (Kevin) Vogel, Maureen (Lee) Unterborn, Ann Marie (Troy) Casale and Shannon (Shawn) VanScoy. Teresa’s grandchildren: Christopher (Michelle) Duffy, Jacqueline (John) Bastoni, Kristina (Anthony) Proietti, Allison (Jay) Beeman, Benjamin and Zachary Casale, Hannah, Noah and Kate VanScoy, Anthony and Zachary Proietti and Alyssa (Anthony) Pitti. Teresa’s great-grandchildren: James Duffy, Sophia Proietti, Caroline Duffy, Lucy Bastoni, Caleb Beeman, Eloise Bastoni and Adele Duffy. Extended family: Her sister Barbara Hall and many nieces and nephews survive Teresa.
Teresa A. Quealy served proudly as a registered nurse for more than forty years. She began her nursing career in the operating room of Whidden Memorial Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. She continued her nursing vocation at St. Ann’s Nursing Home, caring lovingly for the elderly, in Rochester, NY. Teresa was proud of her Italian heritage and Boston roots. Family held the upmost importance in Teresa’s life; and when Teresa was surrounded by her family, she was most happy.
The family is having a private service to celebrate Mom, Grandma, Teresa.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Teresa’s honor to Sister Grace Miller, 285 Ormond Street, Rochester, NY 14605. Mom was always very generous in supporting others in need.
