Obituary for Vasilios "Bill" Elias
Irondequoit: Sunday, February 5th, 2023. predeceased by his parents, Christina and Athanasios Elias; brothers, Phil and George; mother and father-in-law, Vaitsa and Trainos Petrou; brothers-in-law, Nikolas Kiantos and Athanasios Petrou. Survived by his wife of 61 years, Fani Elias; children, Kathy (Alex) Hanfland, Jimmy (Maria) Elias and Christina (Robert) Kester; grandchildren, Billy and Michael (Chelsey) Hanfland, Billy and Niko Elias, Elizabeth and Diana Kester; brothers, Filippos (Lozana) and Christos Elias; sister, Sofia Elias; sister-in-law, Vicky Kiantos; brother-in-law, Bill (Olga) Petrou; several nieces and nephews both here and in Australia and Greece.
Vasilios was happiest at home visiting with friends and family and telling stories. He enjoyed home improvements and was an avid gardener. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Friends are welcome Tuesday, February 7th from 4-7pm at the Profetta Funeral Chapel 1650 Empire Blvd. Trisagion Service 5pm. His Funeral Service will be Wednesday, February 8th 10am at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. Interment White Haven Memorial Park.
