Obituary for William C. Schultz

Webster: It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of William Clinton Schultz on December 7,2020 at age 83, after a hard fought battle with Parkinson disease.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years Caroline “Connie” Schultz; son Stephen Schultz; daughter-in-law Kim Schultz; daughter Susan Schultz; and grandchildren David and Jeffrey Schultz. He is also survived by his sister Cindy Method; brother-in-law Peter Method; sister-in-law Barbara Randall; and nieces, nephews and in-laws. He is pre-deceased by his sister Sandra Petso.

Bill was born on September 19, 1937 in Bainbridge, NY to Clarence and Geraldine Schultz, the eldest of three. He graduated from Morgantown High School in Morgantown, WV in 1955, from Dartmouth College in 1959 and obtained a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Rutgers University in 1963. He moved to Rochester, NY in 1963 to accept a position at Eastman Kodak where he worked as a chemist until retirement in 1991.

Bill loved the outdoors, especially boating and fishing at our cottage in the Thousand Islands. A year living in Beirut with his family while in college and a cross-Europe road trip with his mother and sisters instilled a love of both travel and road trips and he spent his retirement years traveling the world and road-tripping around North America. He especially enjoyed sharing in these activities with his family and has left a devoted fisherman (son) and devoted traveler (daughter) to follow in his footsteps.

The family would like to thank the staff of The Fairport Baptist Home and Hospice care givers at Lifetime Care for their compassion and support.

His remains will be buried during a private ceremony at White Haven Memorial Park. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family asks you to consider a contribution to the Parkinson ‘s Foundation(www.parkinson.org) or a charity of your choice.
